Dragon Age Inquisition Learn More About Dragons And Complete The Quest

Dragon Age: Inquisition offers players a vast open world filled with intricate lore, tactical combat, and formidable beasts. Among the most rewarding adventures in Thedas is discovering the secrets of high dragons and completing dedicated quests for research and glory.

Starting the Dragon Researcher Quests

To fully understand high dragons, players must first meet Frederic of Serault in the Western Approach. He serves as the primary dragon researcher in the region and provides essential tasks that unveil how these creatures live.

Assisting Frederic requires players to collect research materials, track regional draconic activity, and clear out local threats. Completing his preliminary requests sets the stage for summoning and fighting the majestic beasts.

Translating Ancient Texts and Gathering Supplies

One pivotal step in Frederic's questline involves retrieving specialized research manuscripts from enemy strongholds. Once recovered, these texts must be translated back at Skyhold via a War Table operation.

Gathering proper bait and setting up traps across the desert is necessary to lure the apex predator out of hiding. These tactical preparations ensure that players learn about draconic behavior while gaining strategic combat advantages.

Locating and Fighting the Abyssal High Dragon

After completing all research steps, players unlock the final confrontation with the Abyssal High Dragon. This fierce creature utilizes fiery breath attacks and imposes heavy physical pressure on the Inquisition squad.

Bringing companions equipped with fire-resistant gear and ice-elemental weaponry makes the encounter significantly easier. Defeating the beast yields rare crafting materials, valuable weapons, and completes Frederic's comprehensive study.

Rewards and Recruitment Benefits

Slaying high dragons across Thedas rewards the Inquisition with top-tier crafting components like dragon bone and dragon scales. These materials allow players to forge some of the most powerful weapons and armor available in the game.

Completing Frederic's entire questline allows players to officially recruit him as an Agent of the Inquisition. This addition reduces War Table operation times and unlocks further narrative depth for dragon enthusiasts.
